General Code of Conduct |
All
show team members must meet the following requirements in regard
to their conduct and behavior during any activity attended by
The Village Farm, and any role held with our farm: |
- Respect
the rights of others.
- Be
fair, considerate and honest with others.
- Accept
responsibilty for your actions.
- Be
aware of and maintain adhesion to TVF rules and policies.
- Operate
within USEF rules.
- Demonstrate
a high level of individual responsibility, as your WORDS and
ACTIONS are an example to our youth.
- Harassment
is not acceptable in any form.
- Show
immediate concern and caution to those who may be sick or injured.
- Be
a positive role model.

Code of Conduct for Parents |
The
following requirements must be met by parents during any activity
held or attended by TVF: |
- Respect
the rights of others.
- Remember
that your child participates in this sport for their own enjoyment,
NOT YOURS.
- Focus
on your child's efforts and dedication rather than winning or
losing.
- Never
ridicule or yell at your child for making a mistake or losing
a competition.
- Show
appreciation for good performances and skilful rounds by all
riders.
- Your
words and actions are an example, choose them wisely.
- Respect
the trainer's decision and teach your children to do likewise.
- Do
not physically or verbally abuse anyone associated with the
sport. (riders, trainers, officials)
- Respect
the worth of every equestrian regardless of their gender, ability,
cultural background or religion.
- Be
a positive adult role model.
- Do
not coach your child from the rail, this is your trainer's responsibility.
- Do
not approach your child at the in gate unless requested.
